Marquee Decoration
One of the most interesting and rewarding parts of party/event designing is the interaction with customers and the fulfilment of their ideas, visions and expectations. While some of our clients ask us to propose a 'look' or 'feel' which would be appropriate for the particular event, at the other end of the spectrum others have very fixed ideas of what they want.

Linings / Dressings
/ Textiles
Linings and backdrops can be made from heavy or light textiles, pleated, ruched or tensioned. 'Tack-off' tensioned linings are particularly popular at present as they are the ultimate in clean, crisp & chic finishes.
Print technology has also advanced so much that bespoke printed linings as backdrops are no longer a massively expensive option. Options include:
- Wallpaper quality patterns
- Photo images for themed parties
Our standard linings are in smart pleated ivory. We also offer fantastically atmospheric Nightsky (sometimes called Starcloth) linings, giving the impression of a blanket of stars over guests' heads.
Lighting
Lighting is a tremendously important tool in achieving the desired results. The variations are endless, and include:
- Intensity
- Colour
- Static or moving
- Direction
- Focus
- Source
Many lighting engineers would contend that lighting is the most cost effective way of achieving the desired 'feel' within a marquee.
Colours
The correct choice & combination of colours can subtly convey a message about an
event.
Colours can also convey a mood or help strengthen a theme, e.g. Hot Colours (Lime Greens, 'Tango' Oranges etc) for lively, modern events, or Metallic colours for a Futuristic or Space Theme.
Ultimately colour is as essential to the design of a party as is furniture, or the style of drinks service.

Props / Furniture
Furniture design and props are effective in completing and 'filling out' the final

With regards to props, we can supply an enormous range of 'off the peg' and bespoke props for your event. We can propose individual items (e.g. a giant inflatable figure) through to a comprehensive package of props to be incorporated within a particular theme.
