The Location: The Client's country residence
The Challenge: To arrange a party in it's entirety with minimal involvement of the client himself. We knew from the onset that the client would not see the final party venue until a few hours before the party began, leaving little/no time to make any required alterations before.
The client understandably wanted to make full use of a magnificent timbered barn, which eventually became the main dining & dancing area for the party. One of our tasks was to make the most of the atmosphere in the barn with magical lighting and decoration, in keeping with the rough theme brief of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

The Result
Guests were received in an exceptional Reception marquee attached to the barn, on the banks of a large pond. It really was a wonderful setting for a party. Overhead Nightsky (Starlight canopy) linings twinkled as guests sipped on reception drinks and ate delicious canapés. Surrounded by incredible floral displays, and upon a solid floor overlaid with carpet, the guests were in no doubt that this was a special party.
Working with a professional interior designer the result in the barn was also truly stunning, with shafts of light projecting images of leaves onto walls and floor and giving the impression of woodland glades and clearings, beautiful candle-lit table centres maximised by subtle pinspot and profile lighting, dry ice and smoke gently floating up through electric-blue 'moonlighting', scrolling colour changes on particular features, professional dance floor lighting rig...
As with many of our parties, the guests made as much of a contribution as ourselves or anyone else involved - they had a fantastic time, and party'd very hard indeed. The client knows they have made the right decision when their guests do not want to stop!
