Fireworks & Other Special Effects

Marquee events by their very nature lend themselves to spectacular special effects. Free from the constraints imposed by fixed building interiors wonderful effects can be created within your garden or the grounds of your chosen venue and watched from the warmth and comfort of a marquee as well as effects designed for the marquee interior itself.
With the aid of modern DMX technology which reliably and precisely controls gas valves a huge variety of gas flame effects can be created. The size of these flames ranges from a standard gas flambeaux of 2' high to large flamethrowers which can fire flames up to 25' in the air.
By using DMX control desks and analogue converters these flames can be accurately controlled into fantastic chase effects and sequences (as the bride and groom head down the long drive?)
They can also be choreographed to music to provide a spectacularly dramatic show at night.
Our displays are always professionally and meticulously planned to provide the ultimate in 'wow' factor, whilst not compromising the safety of your guests. We will always take a good brief so that we meet your expectations precisely whilst not losing any of the enjoyment a truly spectacular fireworks display can create.
Firework displays have grown in stature and sheer quality to the tune of the many Millennium Celebration displays that we were all fortunate to have witnessed, either on television or for some lucky folks 'in the flesh'. Displays of this vast scale are generally only restricted by budget, but for a fraction of the cost of, say, a Sydney Harbour Bridge or Eiffel Tower display, your company could host a stunning show to help your product launch or party go with a real bang!
There is now a range of fireworks available safe to fire indoors. These can either be as a small firework 'display' (upon a stage for example at the end of a band set) or more popularly in the form of disguised candelabra.
These either sit upon the table as centre pieces, or come as 6' tall floor standing candelabra. They come with a professional operator, who hides out of sight until required. At a given moment, by means of remote control firing, the candelabra burst into life, with a fountain of sparks erupting from their centres several feet into the air.
They work at their best when a complete surprise to guests and in particular the guest of honour. It comes as a huge shock to guests that the table centres they have been looking at all this time suddenly 'explode' in front of them! Fantastic at the end of important speeches, to announce the first dance, or any moment of significance.
These are an increasingly popular effect. They are particularly effective at night-time shows where backlighting can create some incredible images.
They are also ideal for theme events when images can be projected onto them. The sheer size of the biggest of outdoor screens - 30m wide by 18m high - is impressive in itself. They can also be effective in combination with laser shows.
These are ideal for internal use within marquees as they need to be co-ordinated with lighting effects and music. They can be in the background during dinner, or can be a main entertainment feature.
Running Water/Streams/Water Courses
The therapeutic and relaxing feel that running water has makes these features hugely popular as a visual effect within a marquee structure. By using pond liners, flooring and staging, pumps and suitable foliage these water courses can look extremely realistic and have considerable 'wow' factor.
Lasers have both indoor and outdoor application. Even the smallest of laser effects is still quite impressive, but now shows have the potential to be true spectaculars.
Your display could involve anything from single beams as you might expect to find in an average nightclub through to immensely complicated shows that incorporate water screens, detailed image projection, moving animation sequences, and quite breathtaking 3-Dimensional creations. The side of your house need not appear to be brick for the duration of your event, it could be covered with any image you can think of. As guests enter your garden, you could have a laser display criss-crossing your lawn in front of them.
Of course, although they have been around for a while, lasers lend themselves very well to themed events, namely 'Space', 'Future', and because they have been around for a while no '80's' party would be right without one!
High Powered Search Lights ('Sky Trackers')
The concept of firing massively powerful beams of light into the sky is of course as old as the World Wars. Nowadays it has a more peaceful use, as a popular way of announcing the presence of a large and prestigious function, or adding an excellent effect to your stage show (when placed behind a stage they offer a visual feast, especially if the stage is within a clear-canvassed marquee).
There are now many varieties of these lights, from single to multi-beams, static and moving, and they prove to offer very good value for money, especially when they can be seen for up to a 10 mile radius!
Consultation with Civil Aviation Authority is all included within the hire cost!
