Bar Mitzvah
After this particular event, the client wrote to us and said:-
"I would like you to pass on this message to all at Complete
Events. We have just had the most memorable weekend and cannot thank you and the team of guys who have been there for us ALL weekend.
The party went with a bang and... was really everything we could have wished for - Thanks for your time and caring and I am sure with all the rave reviews we have had so far there will be business from this for you all. Once again thank you to EVERYBODY."
Occasion: Saturday Bar Mitzvah followed by Sunday 'Survivor's Lunch'
Numbers: 150: 65 children and 85 adults
Location: A marquee in the client's garden, Hertfordshire
Meticulous and detailed planning were the key to the success of this party. Many meetings were held at the client's residence. Also we met at one of our regular Open Days, where the clients had the opportunity to view one of our marquees in action.
Everything was designed with one aim: to seamlessly bring together the fun of a Bar Mitzvah party with the appropriate formalities of the celebration itself.
As well as detailed schedules relating to installation and dismantlement of the marquee and related equipment, we worked on exact party schedules as the event plans developed, with the final one being:-

The marquee was, as required, stunning; with luxurious integral flooring system throughout, overlaid with deep blue carpet to match the fantastic and atmospheric midnight blue Nightsky overhead.
Luxury Toilet Units were integrated into the marquee complex, meaning guests did not have to risk the elements. A cloakroom area was also provided, complete with cheval mirrors and rails for cloaks.
The dining and dancing areas were separated by our very popular Lining Reveal, a false wall only removed at a given moment for maximum effect.
Heavy emphasis was made on lighting design, carefully planned to create the right atmosphere. This included superb lighting above the dance floor, specific feature lighting for the candle ceremony and cake cutting, individual lighting for the children's tables as well as the adult's, and wonderful feature lighting for dramatic hanging flower displays.
We brought together almost everything:-
- from the fantastic Mixed Feelings Band (a real hit) to colour co-ordinated linen
- super-silenced generators to technical event crew to ensure the smooth running of the event/s
- delicious catering (very well received) to slick and experienced Toast Master
- Polite and professional doormen to extensive plant decoration
- Full Bar Facilities to Steel Band
One of the best moments of the whole party was the surprise indoor fireworks - innocent looking table top and floor standing candelabra that erupt by remote control at a given moment, in this case as the Bar Mitzvah made his grand entrance (see picture). This effect never fails to surprise and please guests!
The following day, a healthy quantity of guests made the survivor's lunch, and the talk was all of the success of the previous night's happening.
